I think that the wave background is probably the most recognizable, most recognizable piece of self-awareness I’ve ever seen. And yet, there are very few people who know what it is. Which is why I call it “wave.

As the title suggests, wave forms when the water becomes a rippling, swirling mass of color. This is one of those things that is easily overlooked but can have a huge impact on a scene. Think about that: If I were to say that this was the background to a video game, would people really know what I was talking about? It’s not just that people see the sky a lot in games that are not video games.

So I guess you could say wave is the background to a video game? But it’s not like I was saying that here. It’s more like background to my video game. Though I guess it could go that way.

It’s the colors that are just so saturated that it takes your eyes a second to register and you can almost feel the motion of the air as it passes through the game world.
