The latest numbers from Nielsen show that more Americans are buying cars than ever before. Cars were at a record high of 33.7 million units in the year ending September 6, 2019, up from 30.6 million units in 2018, and up from 29 million units in 2016.
That’s great news for a number of reasons. For one, it means that consumers are spending more and more money on new cars. The average price of a new car has been up nearly a third since 2016. Of course, this isn’t just due to the good news about cars. There is a more general trend that shows that Americans are going to the car show circuit more often than ever before.
