That’s about 10 times the mass of our own Milky Way. It’s a pretty big galaxy in terms of mass, and it’s probably a galaxy that will grow as its star systems are ripped apart by supermassive black holes.
Not sure how that works but we suspect that these black holes are made of the same substance as the ones that feed on the stars of the galaxy, and that they are the source of the galaxy’s radio signals. Its been theorized that the Milky Way is the remnant of a galaxy that is much smaller than it is now, and that that smaller galaxy was torn apart by the collision of two larger galaxies.
