I have never been that interested in knowing how big these meteorites are before seeing them in person. I also know that I’m a good deal smaller than most of my friends, so I don’t see this as a problem. I like that these meteorites are so small that they’re hard to see. As for the actual size, I don’t know. But to me the size of a penny is pretty big.
The meteor-size meteorite is a particularly popular one in the science community, but the larger meteors are also known to occur. So if you are into science and would like to see a meteor-size meteorite, there is a good chance that you already know about it.
As for the larger meteors, there is a pretty good chance that you already know about them, but if you do, they are quite different in that they are known to be much larger than the meteorite. They are almost always made up of various types of rock, and for the most part they are not very stable.
These large meteors can easily outrun any human. We have a picture of one that was discovered in the last century that shows just how much time and resources have to be invested to get one to crash down on the ground. Although, if you have the patience to wait, you can see some of the bigger ones crash.
The first thing we need to do is identify the size, but that is not always easy. In some cases, meteorites are very delicate (like the one that hit the famous Tuscany, Italy, in 1908). They can be very brittle and are often found in the same place twice, making them difficult to estimate.
The good news is that the stargazers from the Tuscany meteor are a pretty large one; the bad news is that the size of an asteroid may not be easy to estimate either. It could be a “tiny” one, a “medium” one, or a “large” one.
This is where things get interesting. A meteorite can be broken into much smaller pieces than a typical asteroid. In the case of the Tuscany meteor, the pieces were too large to break it into pieces that could be identified by the naked eye. The astronomers made a big deal out of it, but they could not identify any of the smaller pieces with anything close to certainty.
The Tuscany meteor is around the size of a large dog turd. It’s an object that takes no more than a few seconds to hit the atmosphere and disintegrate. But that’s a very long time. A typical asteroid is a few hundred feet long and maybe five or six feet wide. A meteor is much more like a car that you drive a long distance.
The difficulty in identifying the Tuscany meteor is that it is composed of iron, which is a very common metal for meteorites. In fact, all the meteorites we know of were composed of iron, but only the ones that were ejected from Earth were found to have iron in them.
The only meteorite that really counts in meteorites is one that actually hits the ground. But the odds of this happening are not very long. If you were to take a look at the Tuscany meteor you would also see meteorites of other metals too, so it’s not as crazy as you might think.
